ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on developing new ways to monitor menopause in women. Researchers are looking at specific markers in the blood, called mitochondrial biomarkers, that can help track changes during different stages of menopause. The study will include 100 women divided into three groups: those who are still in their reproductive years, those going through perimenopause (the transition to menopause), and those who have already reached menopause. By analyzing blood samples, the researchers hope to identify and validate these markers, which could lead to better management of women's health during this important life transition.
To participate in the study, women must be biologically female and at least 20 years old. However, certain individuals may not be eligible, such as those with cancer, chronic infections, or specific chronic illnesses, as well as women who are currently pregnant, breastfeeding, or on hormone therapy. If you join the study, you can expect to provide a blood sample and contribute to important research that could help improve understanding and support for women going through menopause. The trial is currently recruiting participants, so it's a great opportunity to get involved in advancing women's health.
