ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how men recover after surgery for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), a condition that causes an enlarged prostate. The study will track patients for three months after their surgery to understand their experiences with pain, any burning sensations, urinary leakage, and the use of pain medications. It will compare results from three different surgical techniques: transurethral resection, transurethral vaporization, and laser surgery. The goal is to see how these methods affect recovery and how long it takes for patients to feel better.
To participate in this study, men aged 18 and older who are planning to have surgery for BPH can sign up, provided they can speak Swedish. Participants will share their experiences and symptoms during the recovery period, helping researchers understand how different surgical options impact recovery. It's an important opportunity to contribute to knowledge that could improve care for future patients facing similar surgeries.
