ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is looking at how effective a specific machine, called the Isolated Back Extension (ILEX), is for strengthening the back muscles when combined with a warming therapy called diathermy. The study will include 14 healthy men and women aged 18 to 30 who have never used the ILEX machine before. Participants will take part in a 9-week training program with a total of 18 sessions. Before starting, they will have some measurements taken to establish a baseline, and then follow-up measurements will occur after the ninth and eighteenth sessions to track changes in muscle thickness.

To be eligible for this trial, participants must be healthy, pain-free, and able to understand and communicate in German. They should not be pregnant, taking certain medications, or have any history of back, knee, or hip problems. This trial is currently recruiting participants, and it’s a great opportunity for young, healthy individuals to contribute to research that could help improve back strength training methods.
