ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on finding out if nutrition-based programs can help prevent cognitive decline, which includes issues like memory loss and other thinking problems. The study will involve group sessions where participants learn about nutrition and physical activity, as well as personalized training they can do at home. The goal is to address factors that can be changed to reduce the risk of developing dementia, all while considering what participants prefer in their nutrition-related activities.
To be eligible for this study, participants need to be between 55 and 85 years old, have completed at least four years of schooling, and have a higher risk for dementia based on a specific scoring system. However, those who already have significant cognitive impairment, certain medical conditions that affect their ability to participate, or a diagnosis of dementia won’t be eligible. Participants can expect to engage in both group and individual sessions that focus on nutrition and healthy living, which may help support their cognitive health. The trial is currently recruiting participants, and it welcomes individuals of all genders.
