ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is investigating a new treatment for patients with benign vocal fold lesions, which are non-cancerous growths that can affect voice quality. The study focuses on using a combination of corticosteroids and hyaluronidase, injected directly into the lesions, to see if this method can improve voice function more effectively and quickly than traditional treatments like voice therapy. This approach is particularly aimed at patients who have difficulty attending multiple therapy sessions or those who are not responding well to voice therapy.

To be eligible for this trial, participants should be adults diagnosed with specific non-cancerous vocal fold lesions who are experiencing voice problems but are not suitable for surgery. They might also be individuals who find it hard to commit to long-term voice therapy. During the trial, participants will receive injections through a small tube inserted through the nose, which can be done in a doctor's office under local anesthesia, making it a convenient option. The goal is to see improvements in their voice and a reduction in the size of the lesions, providing a faster path to recovery.
