ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is investigating the use of different blood tests, called biomarkers, to help diagnose and treat traumatic brain injuries (TBI). TBIs can lead to serious long-term health issues, and finding ways to identify and treat them early is crucial. Researchers believe that measuring specific biomarkers in the blood can help doctors better understand how severe the injury is and determine the best treatment options for patients.
To be eligible for the trial, participants must be between the ages of 18 and 65 and have experienced an acute brain injury within the last 24 hours. The severity of their injury will be assessed using a scale that measures their level of consciousness. It’s important for potential participants to know that those with a history of neurological disorders, substance abuse, or other significant injuries will not be included in the study. While the trial is not yet recruiting participants, it aims to explore how blood tests can improve the care and recovery of people who have suffered TBIs.
