ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking to improve the care of patients with serious, life-limiting conditions by using a special test called pharmacogenetic testing. This test helps doctors understand how a person's genes can affect how they respond to certain medications. By assessing the medications currently prescribed and comparing them with the test results, researchers hope to find better treatment options that match each individual's genetic makeup, ultimately aiming to enhance the quality of supportive care for patients.
To participate in this trial, individuals must be at least 18 years old and have an incurable condition that limits their life. The study will take place at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. Participants will not only contribute to important research but also might receive care that is more tailored to their specific needs. It's important to note that patients who cannot provide consent on their own will need a designated representative to help decide if they can participate. This trial is currently not recruiting participants, but it aims to pave the way for better supportive care in the future.
