ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how using an ultrasound during the follow-up visit can help doctors better understand the severity of an ankle sprain. Ankle sprains are common injuries, and if not treated properly, they can lead to ongoing problems like pain or repeated sprains. By checking the injury with an ultrasound, the team hopes to improve recovery and reduce complications three months after the injury.
To be part of this study, participants need to be diagnosed with an ankle sprain in an earlier visit and return for a follow-up appointment between three to six days after the injury. Unfortunately, people with certain conditions, like a history of severe sprains or age under 15, can't participate. If eligible, participants will undergo an ultrasound to help assess their injury and receive care tailored to their needs. This trial is currently recruiting participants of all genders and from ages 15 and up.
