ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new home-based program aimed at improving the breathing muscles of people with ischemic heart disease. The researchers want to find out if a specific type of respiratory muscle training, done through online sessions, can help enhance quality of life, heart and lung function, as well as physical and mental health. They will compare this program to a placebo (a non-active treatment) and to a training program that focuses only on the breathing muscles used for inhalation. The goal is to see if adding this training can make conventional heart rehabilitation programs even more effective.
To participate in this trial, individuals must be at least 18 years old, have ischemic heart disease, and be stable from a heart-related health standpoint. However, those with certain health conditions that make exercise unsafe, previous participation in a rehab program in the past three months, or difficulties using the training device will not be eligible. If you join the trial, you can expect to receive guidance and support through remote monitoring as you engage in the training from home. This trial has not started recruiting participants yet, but it offers a promising opportunity for those looking to improve their heart health through innovative methods.
