ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is investigating a new approach to administering anesthesia during a procedure called gastrointestinal endoscopy, which helps doctors examine the digestive system. The researchers want to see if an artificial intelligence (AI) system can safely and effectively manage anesthesia, just like trained healthcare professionals do. They will compare the performance of the AI with that of the doctors to find out if both can achieve similar success rates in keeping patients comfortable and safe during the procedure.
To participate in this trial, adults aged 18 to 65 with a low risk of health issues (classified as ASA I-II) may be eligible. However, individuals with certain conditions like heart rhythm problems, allergies to specific medications, or those who are pregnant or breastfeeding cannot take part. If you join the study, you'll need to fast for 8 hours beforehand and avoid drinking water for 2 hours after taking a preparation to clean out your intestines. This trial is not yet recruiting participants, but it aims to learn more about the role of AI in healthcare.
