ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the effects of Vitamin B12 and Vitamin C on managing pain after surgery. Specifically, it looks at how these vitamins might help reduce pain and inflammation for patients undergoing a specific type of surgery called laparoscopic cholecystectomy, which is a procedure to remove the gallbladder. The researchers want to see if giving Vitamin B12 before and during the surgery can help with pain relief when combined with other pain management methods compared to using Vitamin C.
To participate in the trial, you need to be an adult between 18 and 60 years old and be classified as a healthy patient (ASA classification I-II) who is scheduled for this surgery. Unfortunately, if you have certain health issues, such as a sensitivity to these vitamins, chronic pain, or severe kidney or liver problems, you may not be eligible. If you do join the study, you can expect to receive either Vitamin B12 or Vitamin C as part of your treatment, and your health will be monitored throughout the process to assess how well it works in reducing pain after your surgery.
