ClinConnect Summary
The clinical trial titled "COPING and ATTACHMENT in PEDIATRIC ONCOHEMATOLOGY" is looking into how children with cancer and their parents cope with the stress of diagnosis and treatment. It aims to understand the relationship between parents and children and how this affects their ability to handle the emotional challenges that come with cancer care. The researchers believe that how parents cope with stress can influence how their children cope as well. By studying factors like age, gender, the stage of treatment, and social support, the trial hopes to identify the best ways to support families during this difficult time.
To participate in this study, parents must have children aged 8 to 17 who are currently receiving treatment for cancer and are fluent in Italian. Both parents and children must be involved in the study, but children who are no longer receiving treatment are not eligible. Participants will complete psychological tests to help the researchers learn more about their coping strategies and emotional needs. This information will be used to improve support and care for families facing pediatric cancer.
