ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is investigating the Chester Step Test (CST) as a way to measure exercise ability in patients with Systemic Sclerosis (SSc), a disease that affects various parts of the body and can cause serious health issues. The CST is a simpler test compared to the commonly used 6-Minute Walk Test (6 MWT), which has some limitations for SSc patients. By using the CST, researchers hope to find a more accurate way to assess how well SSc patients can perform physical activities, which can help with their overall health and fitness.
To participate in this trial, individuals must be over 18 years old and able to walk independently without any walking aids. However, people with certain health conditions like severe lung disease, heart problems, or serious joint issues will not be eligible to join. If you qualify and decide to participate, you can expect to take part in the Chester Step Test, which will help researchers learn more about its effectiveness for SSc patients. This study is still in the planning stages and has not yet started recruiting participants.
