ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how common certain animal-borne diseases, known as zoonoses, are among professionals working in Montpellier, especially in places like zoos and parks. These diseases, which can be passed from animals to humans, include infections like Leishmaniasis, Lyme disease, and Dengue fever. The goal is to check if these professionals have antibodies in their blood, which would show if they have been exposed to these infections in the past, even if they didn't feel sick. By understanding how these diseases are spreading, health authorities can take steps to prevent outbreaks, such as controlling mosquito populations.
To be eligible for this study, participants must be at least 18 years old, work in specific departments for the City or Metropolis of Montpellier, and be able to give consent to join the study. Unfortunately, pregnant women, those who cannot communicate effectively in French, and individuals involved in other research projects cannot participate. If you decide to take part, you can expect a straightforward process where your blood will be tested for signs of exposure to these infections. This study is not yet recruiting participants, but it aims to help keep the community safe from potential health risks.
