ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking to understand how different lengths of educational training—specifically, a 45-minute session versus a three-hour session—affect healthcare professionals who work with children and teenagers. The main focus is on improving communication and play skills, which are important for providing better care to young patients. Researchers want to see if a shorter training session can be just as effective as a longer one in boosting healthcare workers' confidence in their patient care, as well as how motivated they feel to learn, how much they remember, and how satisfied they are with the training.
To join the trial, participants must be healthcare professionals working in the Department of Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine at Rigshospitalet, including nurses, doctors, and therapists. They will need to agree to take part by signing a consent form. Participants will fill out a questionnaire before the training, right after, and again 12 weeks later to track any changes in their skills and attitudes. This study is currently recruiting and aims to find the best way to help healthcare professionals support their young patients effectively.
