ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how effective an infection control program is in reducing urinary tract infections (UTIs) that can happen when patients need a urinary catheter while in the hospital. A urinary catheter is a tube placed in the bladder to help drain urine. The study is taking place at Sohag University Hospital and is currently recruiting participants.
To be eligible for this study, you need to be an adult, at least 18 years old, and require a urinary catheter during your hospital stay. You also need to agree to participate by giving your consent. However, if you have a history of urinary tract infections before being hospitalized, or if you have had a catheter in for more than 14 days, you won’t be able to join the study. If you participate, you can expect to be part of an effort to improve infection control practices, which could help keep patients healthier in the future.
