ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at a type of exercise called Blood Flow Restriction Training (BFRT) to see how it can help people who have had a stroke. BFRT involves using a special band or device to restrict blood flow to the arm while doing light exercises. The goal is to improve strength and movement in the affected arm, which can help with everyday activities like getting dressed or eating. The trial will focus on both people who had a stroke recently and those who had one a while ago.
To be eligible for this trial, participants need to be at least 30 years old and have been diagnosed with a stroke, confirmed by a brain scan. They should also have weakness on one side of their body but be alert and stable in their health. However, people with certain medical conditions, like uncontrolled high blood pressure or severe heart problems, won’t be able to participate. If someone joins the trial, they can expect to engage in guided exercises aimed at improving their arm function and strength in a safe and supportive environment.
