ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how well a new follow-up program works for young adults who have a condition called esophageal atresia. This condition affects the esophagus, which is the tube that connects the throat to the stomach. The program, started in 2020 at Hôpital Saint-Louis, aims to help these adults get the medical, psychological, and social support they need as they transition into adulthood. One of the unique aspects of this trial is its focus on understanding post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in these patients, which is important for their overall well-being.
To be eligible for this study, participants should be between 18 and 30 years old, have esophageal atresia, and receive care at Hôpital Saint-Louis. They also need to be able to understand and respond to questions about their experiences. If they join the study, participants can expect to receive personalized follow-up care that empowers them to take charge of their health. The researchers will track their progress over three years to see how effective this program is in improving their quality of life.
