ClinConnect Summary
The "Weight Loss Through Mayo Clinic Diet" clinical trial is looking at how effective the Mayo Clinic Diet is for helping people lose a significant amount of weight (more than 5%) compared to regular care. Researchers want to see not only how well the diet works but also how easy it is for people to stick with it over time and if it improves their overall health and quality of life at 24 and 52 weeks into the program.
To be eligible for this study, participants need to be between 18 and 64 years old, have a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 25 or higher, and be able to read and understand English. However, people who are currently pregnant, breastfeeding, or have certain medical conditions like diabetes or cancer won't be able to participate. Those who join can expect support in following the diet and will be monitored for changes in their weight and overall well-being throughout the trial. This study is currently recruiting participants of all genders.
