ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new approach to managing pain after inguinal hernia surgery, which is a common procedure to repair a hernia in the groin area. Many patients experience significant pain after this surgery, even with the usual pain medications, and this can slow down their recovery. The trial aims to see if a different method called QIPB (which stands for Quadratus Lumborum Block) can improve pain control and help patients recover more quickly.
To be eligible for this trial, participants need to be between 18 and 65 years old and scheduled for elective (planned) laparoscopic inguinal hernia repair under general anesthesia. Certain patients, like those with specific medical conditions or who refuse to participate, will not be included. If you join the trial, you can expect to receive either the usual pain management or the new QIPB method, and the researchers will closely monitor your pain levels and recovery progress. This could be an important step toward better pain management after surgery, helping patients feel more comfortable and recover faster.
