ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring a new method for conducting urodynamic studies, which are tests that help doctors understand how well the bladder and urethra are working. The study will compare two positions—sitting and lying down—to see if using a special urinary condom with a drainage tube can provide results similar to traditional methods. This research aims to help diagnose outlet obstruction in men, a condition where urine flow is blocked.
To participate, men aged 18 to 90 who can follow study instructions and understand the process are eligible. They should be able to urinate on their own while sitting and have no serious mobility issues. However, individuals with latex allergies, those who cannot sit up due to health problems, or those who have had certain medical treatments recently may not be able to join. Participants can expect to undergo routine tests in a comfortable setting, contributing to important research that could improve how bladder issues are diagnosed in the future.
