ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on creating a Turkish version of a test called the Modified Mini Mental State Examination (MMSE) for children. The MMSE is a tool used to check how well someone thinks and remembers, which is important for understanding conditions like cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, and other neurologic disorders. The researchers want to see if their Turkish adaptation of this test is reliable and valid for children aged 5 to 18 who have certain neurodevelopmental disorders, such as ADHD or autism.
To participate in this trial, children must be between 5 and 18 years old and have a diagnosis of a neurodevelopmental disorder. They should also be able to understand and follow instructions in Turkish. Unfortunately, children with serious hearing or speaking problems won’t be eligible. Participants can expect to help researchers learn more about how to assess cognitive function in Turkish-speaking children, which could improve care and outcomes for kids with these conditions in the future.
