ClinConnect Summary

The QUALIPLAST clinical trial is studying how plastic and aesthetic surgeries affect people's self-esteem. Many individuals choose these surgeries for various reasons, including emotional and psychological needs, not just for looks. However, there hasn't been enough research to understand how these surgeries impact self-esteem over time, especially since most studies focus only on short-term results. QUALIPLAST aims to fill this gap by looking at a variety of procedures and measuring self-esteem before surgery, and again at 3 and 12 months after surgery.

To be eligible for this study, participants should be adults who are planning to undergo one of several specific surgeries, such as breast augmentation, facelift, or liposuction, among others. They should also agree to participate in the study. Participants will complete surveys to help researchers understand how their self-esteem changes after surgery. This study is significant because it could help healthcare professionals better support their patients by recognizing the emotional aspects of surgery, ultimately improving care.
