ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how light therapy, called photobiomodulation therapy (PBMT), interacts with different types of skin. The goal is to understand how much light is reflected off the skin when it is exposed to specific types of low-intensity light, without direct contact. Researchers will look at participants aged 18 to 30 years and divide them into three groups based on their skin type. They will receive whole-body light therapy using both red and infrared light, and the researchers will measure how much light is reflected from different areas of the body.
To participate in this study, individuals must be healthy males or females between the ages of 18 and 30 with a body mass index (BMI) between 18.5 and 29.9. Those with tattoos in the areas being studied, a history of skin cancer, or any skin issues like open wounds will not be eligible. Participants can expect to receive light therapy and have their skin's reaction measured, contributing valuable information to the understanding of how different skin types respond to this therapy.
