ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, titled "Evaluating Dyspnea in Autoimmune Myasthenia Gravis," is looking into why individuals with myasthenia gravis (MG) experience shortness of breath, which can happen during activities, while resting, or even at night. The goal is to understand the different factors that contribute to this breathing difficulty, known as dyspnea. By identifying the causes, researchers hope to find better ways to help manage this symptom, improve patients' quality of life, and prevent serious complications related to breathing.
To be part of this study, participants must be at least 18 years old and have a confirmed diagnosis of autoimmune myasthenia gravis. They should also experience some level of shortness of breath in their daily life. However, individuals who are pregnant, have other serious breathing problems, recently had a respiratory infection, or are currently in a crisis with their MG may not be eligible. Participants will need to sign a consent form and should be connected to a social security program. The trial is not yet recruiting, but it aims to gather important information that could lead to improved care for those living with MG and breathing difficulties.
