ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a condition called lipedema, which affects some women and causes painful swelling and an unusual buildup of fat in the legs and arms. Researchers want to understand how lipedema impacts muscle strength, endurance, walking ability, and how much pressure causes pain, among other things. They will compare women with lipedema to those without it to see the differences in these areas.
To participate, women must be over 18 and have been diagnosed with lipedema. Those with certain health issues, like heart or kidney problems, that could affect their ability to participate will not be eligible. Participants will undergo a series of tests to measure their strength, endurance, and other factors, and the results will help improve understanding of lipedema and how to support women living with this condition. If you or someone you know is interested, this trial is currently looking for volunteers!
