ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how to improve sedation during a procedure called ERCP (Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography), which is used to treat conditions related to the bile ducts and pancreas. The researchers want to use a special monitoring method called electroencephalography (EEG) to help adjust the level of sedation for patients, ensuring they are comfortable while also allowing for a quicker recovery. This is particularly important for patients who may have varying health conditions, as they can respond differently to sedation.
To participate in this trial, you must be between 18 and 65 years old and have a low to moderate health risk according to a specific scoring system (ASA I-III). The trial is currently looking for volunteers who are scheduled to undergo an elective ERCP procedure. If you join, you can expect close monitoring during the procedure to ensure your safety and comfort. It’s important to note that pregnant women, those with certain medical conditions, or patients who might have difficulty breathing may not be eligible to participate.
