ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is looking to compare two different methods for closing the vaginal vault after a total laparoscopic hysterectomy (TLH), which is a surgery to remove the uterus. The two methods being studied are laparoscopic closure (done through small incisions) and transvaginal closure (done through the vagina). The main goal is to see which method has a lower risk of complications, such as bleeding, infections, and issues with sexual function.

To participate in this trial, you need to be an adult female who is planning to have a TLH for non-cancerous conditions and is in a healthy weight range. You should also be sexually active. However, if you have certain health issues, such as obesity, cancer, or conditions that affect healing, you may not be eligible. If you choose to participate, you can expect to receive either of the two closure techniques and be monitored for any complications after your surgery. This trial is still recruiting participants, so there’s an opportunity to contribute to important research that may help improve surgical outcomes for women.
