ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial, called "Targeted Realtime Assessment of Chronic Pain in Youth," is looking to see if using wearable technology can help us better understand and manage chronic pain in teenagers. The study focuses on adolescents aged 11 to 17 who experience ongoing pain related to their muscles and bones. By continuously tracking things like their heart rate, sleep patterns, and physical activity, researchers hope to gather important information that can lead to better ways to diagnose and treat their pain.

To participate in this trial, individuals must have a diagnosis of chronic pain that lasts for more than three months and causes significant discomfort or trouble with daily activities. They could also have other related conditions, like arthritis. However, those with severe cognitive issues, recent hospital stays for reasons other than their pain, ongoing cancer treatment, or who are pregnant (or may become pregnant) within the next three months cannot take part. Participants in the study will wear the digital devices and share their experiences, helping to improve care for young people with chronic pain in the future.
