ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a special type of tiny particles called syncytiotrophoblast-derived extracellular vesicles (STBEVs) found in the blood of pregnant women. These particles can provide important information about conditions like placenta previa (when the placenta is low in the uterus) and the placenta accreta spectrum (when the placenta is attached too deeply into the uterus). The researchers want to measure the levels of these particles in women who have these conditions compared to healthy pregnant women, to understand more about their role in pregnancy complications.
To be eligible for this study, participants need to be pregnant women aged 18 or older. They should either have a diagnosis of placenta previa or the placenta accreta spectrum, or be healthy pregnant women. Unfortunately, women under 18, those with twin pregnancies, chronic infections, cancers, or who cannot provide written consent cannot participate. If you join the study, you will have a chance to contribute to important research that could help improve care for women with these pregnancy-related issues.
