ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring how changes in blood pressure can affect the health and well-being of older adults, particularly those with high blood pressure (hypertension). The researchers want to find out if having low blood pressure at certain times of the day is linked to serious health issues in the future, such as hospitalization, falls, or even death. This study is open to older individuals aged 75 and above who have been diagnosed with high blood pressure and are willing to participate.
If you or a family member are interested in joining, you would be monitored for your blood pressure over a 24-hour period. The study aims to gather information that could help improve care for older adults with high blood pressure. It's important to note that if you or your legal representative do not wish to participate, that's perfectly fine, and individuals with a life expectancy of less than six months will not be included in the study.
