ClinConnect Summary
The Launching! to Adulthood Program is a clinical trial designed to help young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) improve their daily living skills, readiness for life transitions, and social understanding. This study will compare those who receive the Launching intervention with a group that will start treatment later. The goal is to see if the intervention can enhance skills like decision-making, manage mental health challenges, and improve overall quality of life. Researchers will also check in with participants 12 weeks after the treatment to see how well the benefits last.
To join the study, participants must be young adults aged 16 to 31 who have been diagnosed with ASD by a qualified professional. They will need to show a certain level of social communication skills and have a verbal IQ score above 70. Participants should also be motivated to take part and have a parent who can help. However, those with severe mental health issues or who are involved in other autism studies will not be eligible. If chosen, participants can expect to engage in a structured program aimed at helping them transition into adulthood more smoothly.
