ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on studying how well patients with recurrent kidney stones and certain bone diseases follow the Mediterranean diet. The Mediterranean diet emphasizes healthy eating, including lots of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and healthy fats. By evaluating how closely patients stick to this diet, researchers hope to understand its impact on managing kidney stones and bone health.
To participate in this study, patients should be between the ages of 65 and 74 and have a history of kidney stones that have formed more than once in the past five years. However, certain patients may not be eligible if they have specific health issues, such as high calcium levels in their blood or significantly reduced kidney function. Those who join the study can expect to share information about their eating habits and may help contribute valuable knowledge that could improve dietary recommendations for others with similar health conditions.
