ClinConnect Summary

The Swiss Spinal Tumor Registry (Swiss-STR) is a study that aims to gather information about patients who have spinal tumors and are undergoing surgery for treatment. This registry collects important data from people who have either primary tumors (those that started in the spine) or metastatic tumors (those that have spread to the spine from another part of the body). The goal is to better understand how these surgeries can help patients and improve their care.

To be part of this trial, patients need to be 18 years or older and have a diagnosis of either a primary or secondary spinal tumor that requires surgery. The study is currently looking for participants, and it welcomes individuals of all genders. Participants can expect to share their medical information and experiences related to their treatment, which will help doctors learn more about spinal tumors and their surgical options. It’s important to know that patients who decide not to proceed with the surgery or withdraw their consent will not be included in the study.
