ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how to manage pain after middle ear surgery, a common type of ear surgery. The researchers want to see if a specific pain relief technique, called the auricularis magnus nerve block, can help reduce pain and improve recovery after the surgery. They believe that better pain control may also prevent issues like high blood pressure and fast heart rates, which can happen after surgery and affect healing.
To participate in this trial, you need to be an adult (over 18 years old) and scheduled for certain types of ear surgery. You should be in good health (classified as ASA I or II, which means low risk) and not be taking blood-thinning medications or have allergies to the medications used in the study. If you choose to join, you can expect support from the medical team to help with pain management during and after your surgery. This trial is not yet recruiting participants, but it aims to improve the experience and recovery for patients undergoing ear surgery.
