ClinConnect Summary
The Hepatitis C Tracker Study is a research project that aims to find out if using GPS tracking can help people with hepatitis C, who are also experiencing homelessness, stick to their treatment plans better. The study will compare two groups of participants: one group will receive standard medical care for hepatitis C, while the other group will get the same care plus GPS tracking assistance to help them keep on track with their medication.
To be eligible for the study, participants need to have been diagnosed with hepatitis C and must be homeless when the study starts. They should also speak either English or Spanish and be receiving care through a program that provides medical help on the streets. Participants will not be eligible if they have already started treatment for hepatitis C, have severe liver disease, are pregnant, or have a history of liver transplantation. This study is not yet recruiting, but it seeks to understand how technology can improve health outcomes for vulnerable populations.
