ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how dental implants are positioned compared to natural teeth. When a tooth is replaced with an implant, it doesn't always go in the exact same spot. This can happen due to changes in the gums and bone after the tooth is removed. The researchers will look at medical records of patients who have had dental implants for their molar teeth to see how these implants compare in position and tilt to the natural teeth on the opposite side, or to the tooth they replaced if possible.
The study will not involve any new participants, but instead, it will analyze existing patient records from a clinic. To be eligible, patients must have had a molar implant and still have the natural molar on the opposite side. They also need to have certain types of dental scans available. This research aims to help understand how dental implants are placed and may lead to improvements in implant procedures in the future.
