ClinConnect Summary

The BIPCOM clinical trial is studying how other health conditions, known as medical comorbidities, affect people with Bipolar Disorder (BD). Bipolar Disorder is a mental health condition that can cause extreme mood swings and is often challenging to manage. This trial aims to learn more about how common these other health issues are in people with BD, what factors may increase or decrease the risk of developing them, and how to better treat and support patients through personalized care. The research will include analyzing existing health data as well as conducting a study with 400 participants to gather more information.

To participate in this trial, individuals must be between 18 and 65 years old, have a primary diagnosis of Bipolar I, Bipolar II, or Bipolar Disorder not otherwise specified, and have had contact with mental health services in the past year. Participants will be asked to provide consent and will then be involved in discussions that can help shape better treatment options for people with BD. The trial is currently recruiting participants, and it provides an opportunity to contribute to important research that could improve the overall health and well-being of those living with Bipolar Disorder.
