ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how group psychoeducation, which focuses on developing psychosocial skills, can help people with schizophrenia. The main goal is to see if this kind of program can improve patients' ability to function in daily life, encourage them to stick to their treatment plans, and enhance their overall mental well-being. The research will take place at the Giresun Community Mental Health Center, and it involves two groups of participants: one group will receive the psychoeducation, while the other will not. Both groups will be assessed before and after the program using specific questionnaires to measure their recovery and well-being.
To participate, individuals must be diagnosed with schizophrenia, have stable mental health without recent severe symptoms, and be able to understand the questions being asked. They should also have finished at least primary school and not have any significant vision or hearing impairments. Unfortunately, those under 18, unable to read Turkish, or who refuse to participate won't be able to join. This trial is not yet recruiting participants, but it aims to provide valuable insights into how supportive education can benefit those living with schizophrenia.
