ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is looking at how an informational tool can help people with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) who smoke to quit smoking. COPD is a serious lung disease that affects many adults and is often caused by smoking. Stopping smoking can greatly improve the quality of life for COPD patients, slow down the disease's progression, and even help them live longer. The study will involve patients who are currently smokers and have been diagnosed with stage 2 or 3 COPD, and it aims to provide them with support and motivation to quit smoking.

To participate in this trial, individuals must be between the ages of 65 and 74, be receiving treatment at HNFC, and be current smokers with COPD. However, those with cognitive issues that might make it hard for them to understand or complete the study will not be eligible. Participants can expect to receive personalized support and information aimed at helping them quit smoking, which could lead to significant health benefits. The trial is currently recruiting participants, and it offers an opportunity to make a positive change for those living with COPD.
