ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying the effectiveness of a new gel made with copaiba oil-resin in reducing dentin hypersensitivity, which is a painful condition that can occur when the protective layers of the teeth are worn down, leaving the sensitive inner part exposed. The trial will involve 75 participants with at least two sensitive teeth, and they will be divided into three groups. One group will receive the experimental gel, another will receive a gel with potassium nitrate and sodium fluoride (common ingredients for sensitivity), and the third group will get a placebo gel that does not contain any active ingredients. Participants' sensitivity will be measured at different times during the study to see how well the treatments work.

To be eligible for the trial, participants should be healthy individuals aged between 18 and 70 who have exposed sensitive areas on their teeth and are willing to provide consent. Those with certain dental issues, ongoing treatments, or specific health conditions will not be included. If you join the study, you can expect to attend three treatment sessions and have your tooth sensitivity assessed multiple times over a month. This trial is currently recruiting participants, and your involvement could help improve treatment options for others with similar dental sensitivity issues.
