ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying a treatment called lever positioning manipulation (LPM) for people with lumbar disc herniation (LDH), which is a condition where a disc in the lower back gets damaged and causes pain. The researchers want to find out how effective LPM is in relieving pain and improving function for patients with this condition. They will compare two different ways of applying this treatment to see which one works better and how it affects the discs and surrounding structures in the back. The study will involve both patients with LDH and healthy volunteers to gather comprehensive data.

To participate in this trial, you need to be between 20 and 60 years old. If you have lumbar disc herniation diagnosed by imaging tests like CT or MRI, you may qualify. Healthy individuals with no history of back problems can also join. Participants will receive treatment every two days for about two weeks, completing questionnaires to assess their pain and function. The researchers will use advanced technology to measure how the treatments affect the spine, helping them understand the best ways to use LPM for treating lumbar disc herniation in the future.
