ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is exploring how awareness counseling sessions can help promote physical activity among female university students in Saudi Arabia. The goal is to see if these sessions can encourage more young women to engage in regular exercise, which can have a positive impact on their mental health and overall well-being. By understanding the best ways to support physical activity, the trial aims to improve education and policies around exercise for young adults.

To be eligible for this study, participants need to be female university students who score within certain ranges on a depression scale, indicating normal to mild or moderate symptoms. They should also be lightly active in their current physical activity levels. However, students with a history of serious mental health issues, certain chronic health conditions, or who are pregnant are not eligible to participate. Those who join can expect to take part in counseling sessions focused on increasing their physical activity and improving their mental health. This trial is currently active, meaning researchers are still conducting the study but are not recruiting new participants at this time.
