ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the safety and effectiveness of a bowel preparation method for patients with chronic heart disease, chronic kidney disease, or chronic liver disease who need a colonoscopy. The goal is to ensure that the bowel is clean enough for the procedure while monitoring how well patients tolerate the preparation process. Eligible participants are adults over 18 years old who have been diagnosed with one of these conditions and are scheduled for an elective colonoscopy.
Participants can expect to follow a specific preparation routine that includes taking a medication called bisacodyl the night before the colonoscopy and drinking a special solution called PEG the night before and the morning of the procedure. They will be closely monitored throughout the process to assess how well they respond and tolerate the bowel preparation. The trial is currently recruiting participants, and it is important to note that individuals with certain medical conditions, like bowel obstructions or a history of specific surgeries, are not eligible to join.
