ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the effectiveness of a new communication campaign called the Lived Experience Communication Campaign (LECC) designed to encourage people to participate in cancer screening for cervical, breast, and oral cancers. The trial will compare how well this new campaign works against the usual awareness campaigns in a rural area of Tamil Nadu, India. By looking at the participation rates in cancer screenings, the researchers hope to understand if this new approach can help more people get checked for cancer.
To be eligible for this trial, participants need to be men and women aged 30 to 59 years who have never been diagnosed with cervical, breast, or oral cancer and have not had any screenings for these cancers in the past year. Individuals with a history of any type of cancer or those who have serious cognitive issues that make it hard to understand the study materials will not be able to participate. If you decide to join the study, you will be asked to give your consent and may receive information on how to take part in the campaign. Overall, this trial focuses on improving cancer screening rates in a specific community and could lead to better health outcomes for many people.
