ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring the beliefs and attitudes of patients with leiomyosarcoma, a type of cancer, regarding genetic testing. Researchers want to understand how patients feel about the possibility that their cancer might be inherited and how they view genetic testing that can help identify any inherited risks. By gathering this information, the study aims to find the best way to incorporate genetic testing into the care of these patients, especially since some leiomyosarcomas are linked to inherited cancer predisposition syndromes.
To participate in this study, you must be at least 18 years old and able to read and speak English. You can join if you are a patient who has a specific genetic change related to your cancer, or if you are a relative of such a patient who may have inherited that change. Participants will be asked about their thoughts and feelings regarding genetic testing, and this information will help shape future care for leiomyosarcoma patients. Importantly, the study is currently recruiting, and it welcomes individuals of all genders.
