ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at two different treatment techniques for people who suffer from cervicogenic headaches, which are headaches that start from the neck. The study aims to find out how effective the Jones technique and Ischemic compression technique are in reducing pain, improving movement, and decreasing disability in patients with this type of headache. The trial will involve 32 participants aged between 25 and 35 years who meet certain criteria for cervicogenic headaches. Unfortunately, those with other types of headaches, significant medical issues, or previous surgeries affecting the neck or head won't be eligible to join.
During the trial, participants will be randomly assigned to one of two groups. One group will receive the Jones technique, while the other will receive the Ischemic compression technique, both targeting specific neck muscles. Everyone will also get some baseline treatments, like heat therapy, electrical stimulation, and neck exercises. The study will take place at Bahawal Victoria Hospital in Bahawalpur and will run for six weeks, with participants attending two sessions each week. This trial aims to help find better ways to manage cervicogenic headaches, so if you or someone you know fits the criteria, it could be an opportunity to explore new treatment options.
