Rotator Cuff Exercise Therapy Imagery

ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying how a technique called motor imagery training can help patients with partial rotator cuff tears. Motor imagery training involves imagining movements without actually performing them, which may help reduce pain, improve movement abilities, and lessen fear of movement. Participants in the study will be randomly placed into two groups: one will receive traditional physiotherapy, and the other will participate in motor imagery training. Both groups will have sessions with a physiotherapist for a total of 20 sessions over 4 weeks. Researchers will check how participants are doing by measuring pain levels, movement function, and other factors before the training, right after it ends, and again 8 weeks later.

To join the trial, participants must be between 18 and 65 years old, have a diagnosis of a partial rotator cuff tear, and have been experiencing pain for at least 4 weeks. They should not have any serious neurological or psychological conditions and must not have participated in a similar study before. This study is currently looking for participants, so if you or someone you know meets these criteria and is interested, it could be a great opportunity to explore new ways to manage shoulder pain and improve mobility.
