ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at a substance called uromodulin to see how it can help in diagnosing and managing a condition called multiple myeloma, which is a type of blood cancer. Researchers want to find out if measuring uromodulin levels can help identify kidney problems early on in patients with multiple myeloma and if it can provide important information about how well patients might respond to treatments.
To be eligible for this trial, participants need to be adults aged 18 and older who have recently been diagnosed with multiple myeloma, whether or not they have kidney issues. However, individuals whose kidney problems are caused by conditions other than multiple myeloma, such as diabetes or high blood pressure, will not be included. While the trial is not yet open for recruitment, those who participate can expect to undergo tests to measure their uromodulin levels and will be closely monitored throughout the study. This research could be important for improving how multiple myeloma is diagnosed and treated in the future.
