ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) describes and classifies the symptoms of internal hemorrhoids, which are a common type of discomfort in the rectal area. Researchers at Le Van Thinh Hospital want to better understand the different TCM syndromes associated with this condition and see how these align with a standard medical classification system called Goligher's scale, which measures the severity of hemorrhoids. The study will involve about 178 participants who are 18 years or older and have been diagnosed with internal hemorrhoids.
If you or a family member are interested in participating, it's important to know that certain health conditions may disqualify you, such as having colorectal cancer or serious gastrointestinal diseases. Participants will complete a questionnaire to help researchers gather information about their symptoms and experiences. The study is set to take place from December 2024 to April 2025 and has received approval from an ethics committee, ensuring that it meets safety and ethical guidelines.
